Firefly gets a massive facelift! 📈 

Adobe has introduced a new video generation feature for Firefly, which is now integrated into Premiere Pro. This model allows users to generate videos from text and image prompts, extend existing clips, and smooth out transitions ✅ 

The Firefly Video Model is designed to be commercially safe and is currently available in beta.

Some key features include:

• Generative Extend: This tool helps extend clips to cover gaps in footage or audio, making edits smoother

• Text-to-Video and Image-to-Video: Users can create new video content directly from text or images

• Enhanced Editing Tools: Improved performance, new color management systems, and advanced metadata workflows

OpenAI vs. OpenAI? 🤔 

OpenAI is currently involved in a legal dispute with another AI company led by Guy Ravine, which also goes by the name “Open AI.” 🤔 

The conflict centers around trademark infringement and the rights to the name “Open AI.”

Ravine claims that OpenAI’s founders took his concept and name for an open-source AI initiative, while OpenAI argues that Ravine is trying to profit from their established brand.

Additionally, OpenAI and its partner Microsoft are facing multiple lawsuits from various news organizations and authors. These lawsuits allege that OpenAI used copyrighted content without permission to train its AI models.

With employees leaving and lawsuits from left, right and centre - do you think that the public trust in OpenAI is declining? 🤔

AI recreates CS:GO map! 🎮️ 

Researchers have successfully simulated the iconic Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) map Dust II using a neural network running on a single Nvidia RTX 3090 GPU 🤯 

This project, led by Eloi Alonso, showcases the neural network’s ability to mimic the game’s environment and mechanics, with some glitches.

The AI model, named DIAMOND (Diffusion for World Modelling), was trained on 87 hours of CS:GO gameplay data. Despite running at only 10 frames per second, the simulation includes complex elements like player interactions, weapon mechanics, and environmental physics.

However, it struggles with certain aspects, such as gravity and collision detection, leading to some unusual gameplay behaviors.

With this, the AI open-world video game creation is about to seriously level up 📈
