AI Can Now Read Minds 🧠

+ Chinese Company Creates ChatGPT Competitor Called "Ernie 4.0"

Length: 4 minutes

Here's a small preview of today’s read 🎃

  • Did Meta just kill DALL-E? 🤯🔪

  • Amazon makes sellers’ lives easier with AI ✅

  • YouTube Music finally steps into AI? 🎧

  • AI lawsuit drama between UMG and Anthropic (Claude’s creators) 😪

Meta can now convert thoughts into images 💭

Remember the days of DALL-E 3 and Midjourney?

Well, it’s old news now because now all you need is a thought, and then - your image is ready! 👀

It’s possible because Meta is working on an AI system that can quite literally peek into your thoughts and transform them into images (No, I am not kidding)

Though the system is still under development, it's already been able to generate simple images. But the researchers believe that it could eventually be used to generate more complex images, like faces, scenes, and even abstract concepts 😳

Here are some examples I found of how Meta's AI system is capable of 'decoding the unfolding of visual representations in the brain'.

Check them out for yourself 👇️

Sure, it's cool and everything, but…

What does it mean for us? 🤔

See, there are some cool use-cases like:

  1. People with disabilities who are unable to speak or write could use the system to communicate their ideas ✍️

  2. Students could use this to visualize complex concepts and learn new things more effectively 👨‍🎓

  3. It could also be used to diagnose and treat brain disorders 🧠

Like it or not, but the possibilities with AI are endless 😉

  2. Over in the East, Baidu (a Chinese company) has released their latest AI chatbot, Ernie 4.0, positioning it as a top competitor to ChatGPT.

  3. Even YouTube Music is stepping into the AI game by letting users create their playlist cover with some AI-generated artwork (count me in!)

  4. And lastly, some drama, UMG files landmark lawsuit against AI developer Anthropic, for unauthorized use of copyrighted music to train its AI models – and they want a whopping $75 million in damages (that's one expensive AI mixtape 😬).
