Is Google Bard the new ultimate AI chatbot assistant?

First up, a quick breakdown of what’s happened at the Google office:

• New feature that will allow Bard to confirm sources in any written text

• New Bard extensions allowing you to integrate & use Bard in any of your Google apps such as YouTube, Gmail & Google Docs

• “Help me write” feature integrated with Google Docs

Google Bard: Free & most importantly helpful ChatGPT alternative

If I had to choose a generative text AI tool, it would obviously be ChatGPT. However, Google Bard offers several benefits and add-ons that ChatGPT lacks such as:

Confirm sources 🔗

Unlike ChatGPT, Google’s Bard allows you to confirm the actual source of a generated output. Bard's primary data source is Google's Search Index. The new Bard update enables users to confirm and trace back the source of every piece of information.

To do this, click on the Google search icon beneath the output text, next to the share icon. Check out the image below 👇

The green text highlights grant you access to the actual web page the content is from.

On the other hand, the orange text highlights indicates differing opinions. If fact-checking is crucial in your research, you definitely want to see how that works.

Collaborate with your team through Bard 🌐

The share icon allows you to generate a public link, just like in the image below, to a personal Bard chat you have coming up, enabling other Google users to access and continue the interaction.

You can also create an editable Google Doc copy of the file or share a copy of the chat via Gmail and social media.

🚨 Bard extension update (HUGE) 🚨

With Google's extension update Bard will now be synchronized across Google's products like Gmail, Hotels, Spreadsheets, YouTube, and so on.

Integrating Bard with your Gmail inbox will allow you to access and analyze specific emails, generate responses to your emails, and efficiently filter through your emails. Features you can’t experience on ChatGPT, without a doubt 🤯

You can also access specific information about YouTube videos and more. In the search below, I asked Bard to show me one of the most viewed AI videos on YouTube, at the time of writing, and here's the result 👇
