Apple’s new AI iPad and chip 📱 

Apple has revealed its new iPad Pro with a focus on AI. Here are the key highlights 👇️ 

• The new iPad Pro features the world’s most advanced display, the M4 chip, and the Apple Pencil Pro ✏️ 
  

• The AI-powered features include visual lookup, subject lift and live text capture, and of course, its upgraded M4 chip, which features a neural engine that’s “dedicated to the acceleration of AI workloads.” 🤖 

• Visual lookup can identify objects in photos; and live text capture can copy, share, look up and translate text within the camera frame 📷️ 
  

• The new iPad Pro is the thinnest Apple product ever, with the 11-inch model being just 5.3 mm thin, and the 13-inch model even thinner at a striking 5.1 mm 😳 
  

• The new iPad Pro, Apple Pencil Pro, and Magic Keyboard are available to order, with availability in stores beginning Wednesday, May 15 📆

The mysterious chatbot makes a return 🤖 

The mysterious AI chatbot, “gpt2-chatbot” has returned to the major LLMl benchmarking site, LMSYS Org. Interestingly, it has now appeared as two models: “im-a-good-gpt2-chatbot” and "im-also-a-good-gpt2-chatbot" 🤔 

These models have shown capabilities at the GPT-4 level, with some even suggesting that they surpass the original in performance 📈 

Despite their mysterious nature, they’ve drawn massive attention from the AI community. Some users claim that these models outperform current versions of ChatGPT. For instance, one user reported being able to code a mobile game by simply asking "code Flappy Bird game in Python" 🧑‍💻 

However, it’s important to note that while there’s a lot of speculation, it’s still unclear if these AI models are from OpenAI. The online community is actively trying to decrypt tweets, past OpenAI release trends, and information from gpt2-chatbot to decipher what’s coming next 🤔 

OpenAI’s announcement delayed 📆 

OpenAI, who was expected to reveal its own AI search-related project, has delayed its event at its headquarters to Monday next week 🤔 

OpenAI had the event originally scheduled on Thursday (yesterday) to share product updates and demos 📆 

While the exact reason of the event is undisclosed, some reports suggest OpenAI is developing a search offering to rival Google and Perplexity 🤖

Google using AI in biology 🤖🧬 

Google DeepMind has recently revealed a significant update to its AlphaFold AI model, now called AlphaFold 3. The transformative machine learning model can now predict the structure and interactions of all of life’s molecules 🧬 

Scientists and academic researchers will be able to access the majority of AlphaFold 3’s capabilities through a newly launched AI tool, the AlphaFold Server ✅ 

The new model can predict the structure of proteins, DNA, RNA, ligands, and more, and how they interact 😳 

Isomorphic Labs, a sister company of Google DeepMind, is already using the model for drug discovery, collaborating with pharmaceutical companies to try to develop new treatments for diseases 😷

How to make ChatGPT important details about you 🧠🤖 

OpenAI just soft-launched out a new feature called Memory.

It stores personal details that you share in conversations and refers to this information during future chats.

Here’s how to use it 👇️ 

1. Simply head to ChatGPT (you’ll need a ChatGPT Plus or Enterprise subscription for this ✅)

2. Now, click on your account name/photo on the bottom-left of the screen. Then select Settings → Personalization → enable Memory.
   

   

   
   

3. Now, head back to the prompt bar and tell ChatGPT to remember particular details about you.
   

   

   Now ChatGPT will answer all my questions being mindful of the fact I live in Chicago 🏙️ 

   
   

4. You can even manage your memories by clicking the “Manage” button located in the Memory section to view, edit, or delete specific memories in the future!
