Apple’s new AI chips 🤖💻️ 

Insiders have revealed that Apple is developing three distinct M4 processors. These chips will bring big improvements to the Mac lineup. The codenames for these chips are:

• Donan: The entry-level M4 chip.

• Brava: A more powerful SoC targeting the mid-range market.

• Hidra: The top-end SoC of the next generation. It’s likely that these chips will offer improved performance compared to their M3 counterparts.

The M4 chips are expected to be included in the entire Mac lineup, including:

• New iMacs

• Low-end 14-inch MacBook Pro

• High-end 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros

• Mac minis 

These updates are planned for the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models in spring 2025, the Mac Studio in mid-2025, and the Mac Pro later in 2025 ✅ 

OpenAI big ChatGPT upgrade 📈 

OpenAI has introduced the GPT-4 Turbo upgrade to its ChatGPT service for paid users. These include 👇️ 

1. GPT-4 Turbo now has knowledge of internet data up until December 2023, making it more useful for generating up-to-date responses ✅ 

2. For the first time, GPT-4 Turbo includes AI vision capabilities, allowing it to analyse the contents of videos or live feeds 📹️ 

3. The model has improved capabilities in writing, math, logical reasoning, and coding. Meaning responses will be more direct, less verbose, and use more conversational language 🗣️ 

4. GPT-4 Turbo can process up to six times as many pages of text (300 pages) compared to the previous version (50 pages) ⚡️ 

If you’re a paid ChatGPT user, you will now have access to this turbo-charged version 🚀

Meta testing AI bot in WhatsApp 🌐 

Meta is currently testing its AI chatbot, known as Meta AI, across WhatsApp, Instagram, and Messenger in India and parts of Africa 🌐 

Meta AI aims to answer user queries directly within chats and even generate photorealistic images from text prompts ✅ 

It was revealed in September 2023 and has been gradually expanding its presence. There’s evidence that it’s also being used for search queries on Instagram 😳 

India, with its 500 million Facebook and WhatsApp users, has Meta’s largest single market. Plus, developing markets in Africa, where smartphone adoption is growing rapidly, are also big targets for Meta’s AI services. It’s exciting to see how AI chatbots are becoming more integrated into our daily conversations 📲 

The AI Pin finally released 🤖📍 

Humane, a hardware startup, who unveiled its first product last year: the Ai Pin, has finally released the product for public availability ✅ 

The Ai Pin is an ambient computing device that encourages users to look up from their screens. It’s voice-based, always-connected, and priced at $699 💵 

The system combines various LLM-based systems for optimal performance. Different colour options start at $799, and accessories are available. A subscription service costs $24/month.

Improve your prompts with OpenAI’s Cookbook 🧑‍🍳📖 

OpenAI recently released its Cookbook on GitHub ✅ 

It features many tips and techniques which you can use to actually write good prompts.

Here’s how to access it 👇️ 

1. Head to the Cookbook on GitHub.
   
   

2. Now, select the folder named “articles” and click “related_resources.md”
   

   
   

   You should now have access to many prompting libraries, guides, video courses and even papers on advanced prompting to improve reasoning 📈 
   
   
   Some of my favourites include Andrew Ng’s prompt engineering course and the Chain of Thoughts technique (makes the LLM “think” before providing the final answer) ✅
