GPT-5 UPDATE

OpenAI is officially working on GPT-5 🤖 

In a recent interview with Financial Times, Sam Altman - the CEO of OpenAI confirmed that they’re working on a new version of their LLM called GPT-5 ⚡️ 

Even though he didn't say when it's coming out, he did confirm that it would be trained on a lot more data as compared to GPT-4 (more data = better AI) 📈

This data will come from a combination of “publicly available data sets on the internet”, and “proprietary data from companies” 📃 

This means that GPT-5 will be more sophisticated than its predecessors, but its hard to predict exactly what new skills the model might have 👀 

Building a model like ChatGPT is super expensive, costing billions and using a ton of computer power.

Due to this, Sam Altman is also expected to raise money from Microsoft for the company’s goal to create Artificial General Intelligence (AGI).

Will GPT-5 become the first model to achieve AGI? 🤖

Tech Spark AI has raised $1.4 million in a pre-seed round to develop a new generative AI platform called Spark Plug. It is designed to provide an alternative to OpenAI’s ChatGPT.

Google Photos introduces exciting AI feature 🤳 

Google Photos is introducing a set of new features that will use AI to better organize photos for users. This includes a new experimental editing experience called Magic Editor, which uses generative AI to help users reimagine their photos and make editing even easier ✨ 

With Magic Editor, users will be able to make complex edits without needing pro-level editing skills. It will help users make edits to specific parts of an image — like the subject, sky, or background — so they have even more control over the final look and feel of their photo 🖼️ 

Google plans to give select Pixel phones early access to Magic Editor later this year 📱 

Notion launches AI chatbot in its workspace 💬 

Notion has introduced a new AI-assisted Q&A feature. This feature is a fusion of a search engine and chatbot, and helps users in answering specific questions about you workspace 🗣️ 

It will be accessible to all Notion users at a cost of $8 to $10 per month, and is currently in Early Access Beta.
