Claude’s new AI that can use your computer 💻️ 

Anthropic has recently released an upgraded version of its AI model, Claude 3.5 Sonnet, which can now control your PC. This new capability, called “Computer Use,” allows the AI to interact with desktop applications by imitating keystrokes, button clicks, and mouse gestures 💻️ 

Essentially, it can perform tasks on your computer just like a human would.

This feature is currently in open beta and available through Anthropic’s API, Amazon Bedrock, and Google Cloud’s Vertex AI platform.

The AI can look at screenshots, determine where to move the cursor, and execute commands based on what it sees 🤔 

Elon Musk sued (again) 🤦 

Elon Musk, Tesla, and Warner Bros. are being sued by Alcon Entertainment, the production company behind "Blade Runner 2049".

The lawsuit alleges that Musk used an AI-generated image resembling a scene from the film during a recent Tesla robotaxi event without permission 🤔 

Alcon claims that despite denying a request to use the imagery, Tesla proceeded to create and display the image using AI.

The event, held on October 10, featured Musk referencing the film while showcasing Tesla’s new robotaxi. Alcon argues that this unauthorized use could impact their ongoing projects and potential partnerships 😲 

OpenAI hires it’s first Chief Economist 📈 

OpenAI has appointed Dr. Aaron “Ronnie” Chatterji as its first Chief Economist

Dr. Chatterji, a professor at Duke University and former White House CHIPS coordinator, will lead research on AI’s economic impacts and help ensure its benefits are widely distributed.

His role will involve studying how AI influences economic growth, job creation, and long-term labor market trends.
