Apple’s announces iPhone event 🍎

Apple has officially announced its iPhone 16 event, which is set for September 9, 2024. The event, titled “It’s Glowtime,” will take place at Apple Park and will be live-streamed on YouTube.

The event is expected to unveil the iPhone 16 lineup, which might include larger screens on the Pro models and a new dedicated button for taking pictures.

Additionally, there are rumors about the introduction of the Apple Watch Series 10 and new AirPods ✅ 

The new iPhone would build upon the new iOS 18 with integrated with Apple Intelligence which Apple announced earlier this year. Here’s a thread that summarises all the features released 👇️ 

Grok-2’s major improvements - revealed 🤖 

The latest updates to Grok-2, developed by xAI, have brought significant improvements in it’s speed, accuracy, and transparency 👇️ 

  1. Speed: The inference code stack for Grok-2 and Grok-2 mini was completely rewritten, resulting in a substantial speed increase. Grok-2 mini is now twice as fast as before ⚡️ 

  2. Accuracy: Both models have become slightly more accurate due to reduced quantization error ✅ 

  3. Transparency: Grok-2’s performance is now more transparent, as it has been included in the LMSYS Chatbot Arena leaderboard, where it ranks #2 🥈 

 

Why are Spotify and Facebook angry over EU? 🤷 

Recently, the CEOs of Meta and Spotify, Mark Zuckerberg and Daniel Ek, have voiced their concerns over the European Union’s AI regulations 🌍️ 

They argue that these regulations are hindering the development and innovation of open-source AI technologies 🤔 

Zuckerberg highlighted that Meta has been unable to train its AI models on public data from Facebook and Instagram due to regulatory uncertainties 🤷 

They expressed this, emphasizing that a simplified regulatory structure would accelerate the growth of open-source AI and benefit the broader creator ecosystem ✅ 

ChatGPT goes to college 🤖🎓️ 

Arizona State University (ASU) has announced a collaboration with OpenAI 🤝 

This partnership marks ASU as the first higher education institution to integrate ChatGPT Enterprise into its educational programs 🎓️ 

ASU plans to leverage ChatGPT’s advanced AI capabilities to personalize learning, support research, and improve administrative efficiency 💪

Here’s a step-by-step 👇️ 

  1. Visit Claude AI and create an account.

  2. Start by having a lengthy conversation about your project.

  3. When ready, simply type in the prompt:

    "Create a mermaid timeline rundown of this chat. Provide at least three sentences explaining each key discussion point. Skip errors and start from the first chat, focusing on the most important parts. Include the chat content, actions taken, and the purpose of each section. Make sure it displays visually in the code preview."

  4. Go through your generated timeline and use it to recap, share, or analyse the chat progress of your project.
