Apple integrating AI to Siri 🗣️ 

There are rumors that Apple is preparing to preview a new version of Siri with generative AI and a range of new capabilities at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2024 🌐 

The new Siri is expected to debut on the iPhone 16 series and future models. It is anticipated that the new version of Siri will be able to better understand natural language and patterns of speech. However, it is not yet known whether Siri will become more of a challenger to the Google Assistant in terms of providing correct answers ✅

In addition to Siri, Apple is also reportedly looking to add AI capabilities to many of its apps, including Apple Music, Pages, and Keynote. These enhancements are part of Apple’s broader efforts to integrate AI into its products and services 🤖 

Perplexity is now valued at $520M 💵 

Perplexity AI, an artificial intelligence startup that is building an AI-powered search engine, has raised $73.6 million in a Series B funding round. The round was led by IVP and joined by Nvidia and Jeff Bezos. This funding has brought the company’s valuation to $520 million 🤑

Perplexity AI aims to reinvent AI-powered search from the ground up. Unlike traditional search engines that match queries with relevant websites, Perplexity leverages the capabilities of an advanced large language model to understand the user’s query and its context. It then provides an answer in a conversational manner, based on the information it was exposed to during its training ℹ️ 

The GPT Store is finally launching this week 🚀 

OpenAI’s GPT Store, a platform for selling and sharing custom GPTs based on OpenAI’s language models, is set to launch this week 📆 The store was first unveiled at OpenAI’s DevDay conference in 2023.

OpenAI also has plans to introduce a revenue-sharing program for the most useful and popular GPTs. However, it is still unclear if the GPT Store will introduce this program at launch 🚀

OpenAI has reminded GPT Builders to ensure that their creations meet brand guidelines to make their GPTs public. The GPTs have been available to Plus users, but the upcoming store will allow anyone, whether a paid user or not, to sell or buy the custom GPTs 📈 

AI that writes clinical notes 📓 

Paris-based startup Nabla has raised $24 million in a Series B funding round led by Cathay Innovation and ZEBOX Ventures. Nabla has developed an AI copilot for doctors and medical staff that automatically writes clinical notes 🧑‍⚕️ 

The AI copilot uses speech-to-text technology to convert medical conversations into written transcripts. It identifies crucial data points, such as medical vitals and drug names, and promptly generates detailed medical reports. These reports can be customized to the specific needs of the physician 📃

Proof That ElevenLabs Is The Best AI Voice Over Tool 🚨

If you caught one of my earlier editions of AI Explained, then you probably came across my post about why ElevenLabs is the best text-to-speech tool 🤖

However, I got a bunch of comments on the post, with people asking me why I made that statement ⌨️

Well, it’s because out of all the text-to-speech tools I've tried, ElevenLabs had the most consistent, lifelike and natural voice 🗣️ 

And I want to put this claim to test by comparing ElevenLabs’ output with other tools in the market (Murf and Lovo) 📈

To ensure a fair testing environment, I’ll be using the same text sample, accent, gender, age and tone for the output💪

As you could hear, the quality difference between ElevenLabs and the others is like night and day 🌃

I must also commend Lovo for putting up a good competition; it maintained a pretty consistent tone throughout 👏

However, when it comes to Murf, I feel it lacks that human touch 🤔

Now, with that being said, I believe there's no doubt left that ElevenLabs is truly the best text-to-speech tool on the internet 🌐
