iOS 18’s major accessibility features📱 

Apple has announced that iOS 18 will introduce a new accessibility feature called Eye Tracking. It is designed for users with physical disabilities. It allows users to navigate their iPhone or iPad using just their eyes 👀 

The feature uses the front-facing camera to set up and calibrate in seconds. With on-device machine learning, all data used to set up and control this feature is kept securely on the device, and isn’t shared with Apple ✅ 

Eye Tracking works across iPadOS and iOS apps, and doesn’t require additional hardware or accessories 📱 

In addition to Eye Tracking, iOS 18 will also introduce other accessibility features like Music Haptics and Vocal Shortcuts. Music Haptics is designed for users who are deaf or hard of hearing, allowing them to experience music using the Taptic Engine in iPhone. Vocal Shortcuts will allow users to perform tasks by making a custom sound 🔉 

These features are expected to be released later this year 📆 

Elon Musk makes a BIG statement about AI 🤖 

At the VivaTech conference 2024, Elon Musk made some interesting remarks about the future of work in relation to the rise of AI 🤖 

He predicted that AI will eventually eliminate all jobs, but he believes this is not necessarily a bad development 🤔 

He described a future where jobs would be "optional". If you want to do a job that’s kind of like a hobby, you can do a job. But otherwise, AI and the robots will provide any goods and services that you want 😳 

For this scenario to succeed, there would need to be a “universal high income”, which should not be confused with universal basic income 💵 

He also advised parents to control and limit the amount of social media their children consume, saying that social media platforms "are being programmed by a dopamine-maximizing AI" 🤖 

This is indeed a thought-provoking perspective on the future of work and the role of AI. It’s important to note that these are predictions and the actual future may unfold differently.

Google’s new Sora competitor 📽️ 

Google DeepMind has recently unveiled a new generative AI video model called Veo. Here are the key points 👇️ 

• Veo was announced at the Google I/O 2024 developer conference

• It is described as Google’s "most capable video generation model" ✅
