Copilot gets updated (again)! 📈 

Microsoft has just pushed new updates to it’s AI chatbot - Copilot. Here are the details 👇️ 

Visual Makeover: The interface has been improved to enhance usability and aesthetics. Expect a cleaner, more intuitive environment 📈 

Inline Image Editing: Copilot now allows you to edit images directly within the interface. Whether you’re annotating screenshots, adjusting visuals, or adding captions, this will streamline your workflow ✨ 

Improved Code Suggestions: Copilot’s code suggestions have been fine-tuned. You’ll notice more accurate completions, better context awareness, and increased productivity as you write code 🧑‍💻 

Bug Fixes and Performance Enhancements: Microsoft has squashed pesky bugs and optimized performance 📈 

AI helps students win $1 Million 🤑 

In 2023, the Vesuvius Challenge was launched by computer scientist Brent Seales from the University of Kentucky, that aimed to extract text from high-resolution CT scans of an ancient scroll from the time when Vesuvius volcano erupted in AD79 🌋 

A team of 3 students used AI to read more than 2,000 Greek letters from the scroll. Their achievement stunned papyrologists who had previously struggled to decipher the blackened text on these ancient scrolls 📜 

Google’s newest aid for the blind 🧑‍🦯 

Google has introduced a new feature called “Image Question and Answer” to its Lookout app. This feature is designed to support users with disabilities, particularly those who are blind or have low vision 👀 

The “Image Question and Answer” feature allows the software to process an image and describe it to the user. Users can then pose additional questions about the image, which the AI can answer. This feature is powered by an advanced visual language model developed by Google DeepMind 🤖 

Google is working with the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) to invite a limited number of people to test out this feature. It plans to make it available to even more people soon ✅ 

StabilityAI x Stanford = Better X-Rays 🤝 

Stanford University and Stability AI have introduced CheXagent, an instruction-tuned foundation model for chest X-ray (CXR) interpretation 🩻 

This model is designed to tackle the challenges in automated CXR interpretation. To address these issues, the researchers created CheXinstruct, a large-scale instruction-tuning dataset compiled from 28 publicly available datasets 📈 

CheXagent, equipped with 8 billion parameters, is capable of analyzing and summarizing CXRs ✅

EDIT AI IMAGES FOR FREE

Create and EDIT AI generated images (for FREE) 🤖💸 

There are hundreds of tools that you can use to create and edit AI images (and they cost wayyy too much 😢)

But now you can do the same using DALL-E 3 - for free 🆓 

This is thanks to Copilot’s Designer GPT (which has integrated DALL-E support 🖼️)

Here’s how you can do it 👇️ 

1. Simply go to copilot.microsoft.com and type out a prompt ⬇️ 

   Example - “Create an image of an office employee and his angry boss in the background “ 🧑‍💼 

   

   You can choose between any of the 4 image options 🖼️ 

2. Now, select the image you like the best, and select a new style in the bottom bar 🎨 

   

   There are many styles to choose from ✨

   I might take few seconds for Designer to apply the style you selected 👇️ 

   

   I chose the watercolor style 🎨 

3. Copilot also gives you more editing options. Just hover your mouse over the image to select your main subject 🙍 
   

   

   This separates the subject from the foreground ✅ 

   
   

   Now you can then choose between 2 editing options 👇️ 
   

   "Color pop" or "Blur background"

   As you can see, Copilot not only created the image - but also edited it with just a few clicks ✅ 
   
   
   And that’s not all, you can also download the image, copy it directly, import it for editing in Designer's dedicated interface or copy the image link to share it (for FREE)!
