Google goes open source with Gemma 🤖 

Google has recently released a new family of open-source AI models called Gemma. Here are some key details:

• Gemma models are built from the same research and technology used to create the Gemini models 🤖 

• Google has released two variants of Gemma: Gemma 2B and Gemma 7B

• These models are designed to allow developers and researchers to build large language models (LLM) with only a desktop 🖥️ 

• Gemma models can run on a user’s laptop, workstation, or Google Cloud4.

This strategic shift is seen as Google’s move to compete with open-source offerings from Meta and other AI startups. The Gemma models are available worldwide starting today ✅ 

Elon x MidJourney 🤖🖼️ 

Elon Musk has hinted at a potential partnership between X (formerly known as Twitter) and Midjourney, signalling that the image generator can be integrated into Grok chatbot ✅ 

This happened during a recent podcast, where Musk revealed ongoing discussions with Midjourney. The potential partnership will bring Midjourney’s AI art generation capabilities to X, enabling users to create and share AI-powered visuals effortlessly 🖼️ 

This collaboration could signify a leap forward in integrating AI technologies with social media. However, the details of the deal are still being explored 🤔 

First Neuralink trial successful 💪 

Elon Musk, the founder of Neuralink, recently announced that the first human patient implanted with a Neuralink brain-chip has fully recovered 🙌 

Courtesy of the chip that was successfully implanted last month, the patient is now able to control a computer mouse using their thoughts 💭 

The company aims to enable people to control a computer cursor or keyboard using their thoughts and treat conditions like obesity, autism, depression, and schizophrenia 🧠 

Adobe’s new AI chatbot (guide below 👇️) 🚀 

Adobe has introduced a new AI Assistant in beta for its Reader and Acrobat applications.

Here are some key features of the AI Assistant:

• Generative Summary: It provides short overviews in easy-to-read formats 🤝 

• Intelligent Citations: Adobe’s custom attribution engine can easily verify the source of AI Assistant’s answers ✅ 

• Easy Navigation: Clickable links help customers quickly find what they need in long documents 🔗 

• AI Assistant: It recommends questions based on a PDF’s content and answers questions about what’s in the document 🤔 

Currently, the assistant is available to Acrobat Individual, Pro, and Teams customers, as well as Acrobat Pro trialists. It will only be available as an add-on subscription plan 🤷

Here's a step-by-step guide ⬇️ 

1. Go to Adobe AI Assistant and sign up for a free trial 🆓 

2. Simply upload the document (pdf, doc or txt) you want to extract a summary from ✅ 
   
   Now, select AI Assistant in the global bar. Alternatively, you can select All tools > AI Assistant.

   

3. You can now ask your questions through the chatbot or select from the sample questions that are displayed based on the content of your PDF file ✅ 
   

   

4. After waiting a couple seconds, the answer to your question will be displayed, with the relevant sources are marked with numbers 🤯 

   

Now try summarising lengthy documents, books, business reports, proposals and more!
