Elon Musk’s brain chips 🧠🤖 

According to Elon Musk, the founder of Neuralink, the company has implanted its first brain chip in a human 📇🧠 

The implant, called the “Link”, is a small device that is surgically implanted into the brain and can be used to control devices with thoughts 💭 

The company’s goal is to help people with paralysis regain control of their limbs. The implant has received clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for human trials ✅ 

However, this technology is still in its early stages and requires further testing before it can be widely used 🌐 

X’s $700 million AI data centre 🏢 

X, (formerly known as Twitter) has been granted a $10.1 million tax break for installing new AI hardware at its data centre environment in a QTS facility in Atlanta ✅ 

The company had threatened to relocate to Portland, Oregon if not given the incentive, even though most of its AI deployment is already in Atlanta. The project is expected to cost $700 million and will be used to develop and train artificial intelligence products for the X Platform, including large language models and semantic search 🔍️ 

This investment is expected to create new job opportunities in the region 👔 

Microsoft and OpenAI joining hands for AI robots? 🤖 

A report from Bloomberg revealed Figure AI, a startup that develops humanlike robots, is in talks to raise up to $500 million in a funding round led by Microsoft Corp. and OpenAI 🤝 

The deal could give Figure a $1.9 billion pre-money valuation, according to a person with knowledge of the matter. In one scenario being discussed, Microsoft would invest about $95 million and OpenAI would put in $5 million. However, Microsoft, OpenAI and Figure declined to comment ❌ 

Yelp steps into the AI game 🤖 

Yelp has recently introduced several new AI enhancements. Some of the new features include:

• AI-powered business summaries that make it even easier to find a business that fits your needs 🏢 

• Recognitions that celebrate and distinguish reviewers who are passionate about a specific food, cuisine or nightlife category ⭐️ 

• A new visual home feed and search experience enhance discovery, helping you quickly and easily find your new favourite restaurant 🧑‍🍳

OpenAI silently added a new ‘GPT mentions’ feature to ChatGPT this week ✅ 

This will allow users to integrate custom GPTs into a regular ChatGPT conversation 💭

Consider this similar to ‘mentions’ on Slack and Discord 👾 

Here's a walkthrough of the new feature ⤵️ 

1. Before you prompt ChatGPT with any question, add a GPT to the conversation by typing "@" and selecting one.

   
   In this case, I will select the KAYAK - Flights, Hotels & Cars GPT ✈️ 

   

   You can choose from thousands of GPTs ✅ 

2. Now simply type out your prompt related to the selected GPT 🤖 

   

   This allows ChatGPT to directly communicate with the GPT

   
   Now this GPT is part of the conversation and has context to your previous prompts and responses 💭 

   
   
   
   Let’s compare this prompt without mentioning a GPT (a text only prompt) 👇️ 

As you can see, mentioning a custom GPT gives you an overall clearer and crisp response with links, pointers etc. 

This feature not only saves time, but also helps in boosting productivity massively 📈
