Nvidia’s huge AI announcements 📈🤖 

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang recently announced the company’s next-generation AI-accelerating GPU platform during his keynote at Computex 2024 in Taiwan. Here are the key details 👇️ 

• The new platform is called “Rubin” and is set to be released in 2026 📆 
  

• The Rubin AI platform will use HBM4 (a new form of high-bandwidth memory) and NVLink 6 Switch, operating at 3,600GBps 📈 
  

• Following the launch of Rubin, Nvidia plans to release a tick-tock iteration called “Rubin Ultra” in 2027.

• The chips will be fabricated by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing in a 3-nanometer process technology, and will start production in the fourth quarter of 2025 📆 

Jensen also added that, "the days of millions of GPU data centers are coming" 🤖 

Nvidia definitely has very big plans in the future of AI chips 📈 

The AI Third Thumb 🤖👍️ 

Researchers at the University of Cambridge have developed a controllable prosthetic device known as the ‘Third Thumb’ 👍️ 

Here are some key points about the ‘Third Thumb’ ⬇️ 

• The ‘Third Thumb’ is designed to increase the wearer’s range of movement, enhance their grasping capability, and expand the carrying capacity of the hand ✅ 

• It is worn on the opposite side of the palm to the biological thumb and is controlled by a pressure sensor placed under each big toe or foot 🦶 

• The extent of the Thumb’s movement is proportional to the pressure applied, and releasing pressure moves it back to its original position ✋ 

• The device was tested on a diverse range of participants, from ages 3 to 96, with varying motor capabilities. An impressive 98% of participants were able to successfully use the device within a minute 📈 

Prompt to sound effects? 🎵 

ElevenLabs has launched a new AI model called “Text to Sound Effects”. This tool is designed to generate sound effects, short instrumental tracks, and soundscapes from text prompts 🎵 

It can generate up to 22 seconds of sound effects based on user prompts. It’s designed to help creators—including film and television studios, video game developers, and social media content creators—to generate rich and immersive soundscapes quickly, affordably, and at scale 📈 

Users simply need to describe the sound they need, click generate, review samples, and download the best results ✅ 

The tool is now available for all users 🌐
