Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, is reportedly seeking a massive investment, potentially as much as $7 trillion, for a new project aimed at revolutionizing the global semiconductor industry 🤖 

This initiative is particularly focused on AI chips for training advanced language models. These chips, or graphics processing units (GPUs), are pivotal in powering AI systems like ChatGPT 🤖 

Altman is reportedly looking to resolve some of the biggest challenges faced by the rapidly-expanding artificial intelligence sector – including a shortage of the expensive computer chips needed to power large-language models like OpenAI’s ChatGPT 📉

Google’s biggest upgrade to Bard yet… 📈 

Google has rebranded its AI chatbot, previously known as Bard, to Gemini ✨ 

Gemini represents Google’s most capable family of models and is available in over 40 languages in more than 230 countries and territories. Along with the rebranding, Google has also launched two new experiences: Gemini Advanced and a mobile app 📱 

Gemini Advanced gives users access to Ultra 1.0. It’s designed to be more proficient at complex tasks like coding, logical reasoning, following nuanced instructions, and collaborating on creative projects. Gemini Advanced is available as part of the new Google One AI Premium Plan for $19.99/month, starting with a two-month trial at no cost ✅ 

The new mobile app allows users to easily collaborate with the best of Google AI. It’s available on Android and will soon be available on the Google app on iOS 📱 

Glasses with inbuilt AI assistant 🤖🗣️ 

Singapore-based start-up Brilliant Labs has recently introduced a new product called Frame smart glasses. These glasses are the world’s first wearable tech with a multimodal AI assistant 🤖 

These lightweight glasses come in three shades – black, white, and transparent, and they also work with prescription lenses. The glasses feature a microOLED Panel for showcasing virtual reality 🕶️ 

The Frame glasses are currently available for pre-orders at $349. The company is also backed by OpenAI and Perplexity AI. The high-tech pair of glasses will be shipped in April 📆
