BREAKING NEWS

OpenAI setting new standards in Text-to-Video

OpenAI has introduced a new AI model called Sora. It’s an AI model that can create photorealistic and imaginative scenes from text instructions ⌨️

It can generate videos up to a minute long while great maintaining visual quality. Apart from that, it can also insert scenes within existing video 📽️

Although, OpenAI says it won’t be releasing Sora anytime soon

As of now, Sora is still in the research stage and is not available with the company’s products yet 📈

This video is 100% generated in Sora 👇️

OpenAI’s Co-Founder resigns 👔

Andrej Karpathy, a widely respected research scientist and a founding member of OpenAI, has announced his departure from the company for the second time 😥

This decision is not due to any specific event, issue, or drama. In a post on X, he wrote down his positive experiences at OpenAI, and the strength of the team and the excitement surrounding future projects. His immediate plan is to work on personal projects, and he has built an immense following on social media and YouTube, where he shares his writings and videos explaining the inner workings of AI 🤖

ChatGPT’s latest feature 🧠🤖

OpenAI has recently introduced a new ‘Memory’ feature for ChatGPT. Here’s what you need to know 👇️

  1. The ‘Memory’ feature allows ChatGPT to remember details from your conversations to make future chats more helpful. For example, if you’ve told ChatGPT that you own a neighbourhood coffee shop, it can use this information to help brainstorm messaging for a social post celebrating a new location

  2. How it works: As you chat with ChatGPT, you can ask it to remember something specific or let it pick up details itself. You can explicitly tell it to remember something, ask it what it remembers, and tell it to forget conversationally or through settings 💭

  3. User control: If you’re not a fan, you can turn off memory at any time (Settings > Personalization > Memory). While memory is off, you won’t create or use memories

NVIDIA steps into the chatbot game 🤖

NVIDIA has recently released a new chatbot called “Chat with RTX”. It is a free chatbot that runs locally on Windows PCs equipped with Nvidia GeForce RTX graphics cards

Users can personalize the chatbot by feeding it documents, text files, PDFs, and even YouTube videos to power its responses. The chatbot uses GPU acceleration and Nvidia’s RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) technology to quickly scan local files and provide users with fast, contextually relevant answers to natural language questions without needing internet connectivity 🌐

GPT-5 is gonna be bigger than ever 🚀

Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, spoke at the World Government Summit and shared some insights about GPT-5 😳

He stated that GPT-5 is going to be ‘much smarter and multi-modal’. He emphasised that the generality of the model makes it ‘so magical’ and ‘a little bit better at everything’, not just one task ✅💪

Apart from that, Altman also proposed the idea of a global oversight agency for AI. He suggested that the UAE would be well-positioned to lead discussions on this matter. He also proposed hosting a one-day conference where global leaders can brainstorm and strategise on these important issues 🧠

CUSTOMISE CHROME WITH AI

Personalise your Chrome browser with generative AI 🎨🤖

Chrome now has AI diffusion models inbuilt🤖

Last year, Google brought generative AI wallpapers with Android 14 and Pixel 8 devices 📱

And now Google’s bringing that same text-to-image diffusion model to Chrome so you can personalise your browser even more

Here's a step-by-step guide ⬇️

  1. Start Chrome and Select Settings > Experimental AI. Turn on the toggles for ’Try out experimental AI features’ and ’Create themes with AI’

Now, relaunch Chrome and open a new tab.

  1. In the new tab, choose the Customize Chrome option at the bottom of the page ⬇️

(You can also select the side panel icon next to the G in the top right )

Just select the Change Theme option

  2. Now select the Create with AI option 🎨

  1. Here, just choose your subject, style, mood, and color, and select Create 🚀

  1. Now, Chrome will show you different themes to pick from. Just select the one you like best

Once you complete the steps, the new customised design for the new tab page will apply to Google Chrome 👏
