OpenAI’s Strawberry is HERE! 🤖 

OpenAI has recently revealed a new AI model called OpenAI o1, also known as "Strawberry" 🍓 

This model is designed to fact-check itself by spending more time considering all parts of a command or question which makes it adept at solving math and programming-related challenges 🧑‍💻 

This “thinking” also helps it avoid some of the reasoning pitfalls that typically trip up other AI models 🤖 

The best part, there is no waitlist to access these models. The o1-preview and o1-mini, are currently available to users subscribed to ChatGPT Plus and ChatGPT Team ✅ 

For now, there are weekly message limits: 30 messages for o1-preview and 50 messages for o1-mini. OpenAI plans to extend access to free-tier users in the future, but no specific release date has been set yet 🤔

OpenAI’s new MASSIVE valuation 👀 

OpenAI is reportedly in talks to raise $6.5 billion in new funding, which would value the company at an impressive $150 billion 😳 

This new valuation is significantly higher than their previous valuation of $86 billion earlier this year. The funding round is expected to be led by Thrive Capital, with other major investors like Microsoft, Apple, and Nvidia also participating ✅ 

This new evaluation could also be a result of Strawberry's recent release, which may require the company to allocate many new resources and computing power to maintain it 🤔 

Abobe Firefly to get major upgrades 📈 

Adobe has announced that video generation capabilities are coming to their Firefly AI model later this year 📆 

Users will be able to try these new features on the Premiere Pro beta app and a dedicated website before the end of 2024^.

The new features include:

• Generative Extend: This feature can add an extra two seconds of footage to any input video.

• Text to Video: This allows users to create five-second videos from text prompts.

• Image to Video: This feature generates videos from input images.

OpenAI's Sora, despite being unreleased, has been attracting competitors from all directions 😬 

Google’s AI turns your notes into podcasts📖 

Google has introduced a new feature called Audio Overview in its NotebookLM app, which allows users to convert their notes into AI-generated podcasts 🎙️ 

This feature uses two AI hosts to review and discuss the material you provide, summarizing information and establishing connections between topics 🤯 

The tool works with various source types (documents, slides, charts, web URLs) using Gemini 1.5's multimodal capabilities.

NotebookLM can handle up to 50 sources, each containing up to 500,000 words, allowing for a total of 25 million words to be processed when generating the audio 😳
