OpenAI has introduced GPT-4o mini, a smaller and more affordable version of its latest AI language model GPT-4o, which will replace GPT-3.5 Turbo in ChatGPT✅

GPT-4o mini currently outperforms the GPT-4 model on chat preferences and scored 82% on Massive Multitask Language Understanding (MMLU), a benchmark used to evaluate language models’ capabilities💪

The model has a context window of 128,000 tokens, roughly the length of a book, and a knowledge cutoff of October 2023.

It improves performance while being cost-effective, making it accessible for a wider range of users🌐

Microsoft’s Canva competitor new available on📱

Microsoft has officially announced that its AI-powered Designer app, which is similar to Canva, is now available to all users on iOS and Android📱

The Designer app allows users to generate images and designs with text prompts to create things like stickers, greeting cards, invitations, collages, and more.

It is now accessible in more than 80 languages on the web, and is available as a free mobile app and as an app in Windows🪟

Spotify’s AI Spanish DJ🪩

Spotify has announced the launch of a Spanish-speaking AI DJ named 'Livi’.

This is the first time Spotify’s AI DJ feature, which introduces personalized song selections, is available in a language other than English🗣️

The AI DJ feature serves as a smart audio guide that introduces music using a convincingly realistic voice✅

The AI DJ itself is built using technologies from both OpenAI and Sonantic, an AI voice platform Spotify acquired in 2022. Listeners said the voice sounded relatable and as if they were listening to music recommendations from a friend^.

‘Livi’ will become available to Premium listeners in markets where DJ X is already offered and other markets across Latin America 🌎️

In his speech at the Republican National Convention, Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate demanded an order to boost military AI and cut regulations, signalling a big policy shift if they return to power.

With a focus on “Make America First in AI,” the plan aims to accelerate AI development in the US.

He also added that America is on the cusp of a new golden age which will require tremendous energy investments to power AI 🤖
