OpenAI wants a new AI chip 🤖 

OpenAI is exploring the idea of creating its own AI chips to overcome the shortage of expensive graphic processing units (GPUs) that it currently relies on for developing AI models like ChatGPT, GPT-4, and DALL-E3 😬 

The company is in discussions with Broadcom, a leading semiconductor manufacturer, to design a new AI chip ✅ 

This move will reduce OpenAI’s dependence on existing chip suppliers and provide hardware tailored specifically to its AI requirements by collaborating with Broadcom 🤝 

This will also challenge Nvidia’s dominance in the AI chip market, where Nvidia currently holds an estimated 70% to 95% share!

Luma AI introduces new AI feature 📈 

Luma AI, the famous AI video generation platform, recently introduced an exciting new feature called “Loops” for its Dream Machine platform.

Loops allow users to create seamless, continuous video loops from various sources, including text descriptions, images, keyframes

Content creators and digital marketers can produce videos that play smoothly over and over, without any jarring transitions.

Apple’s new AI model 🤖 

Apple has introduced a new open-source AI model that outperforms competitors in various benchmarks ✅ 

The on-device model, with approximately 3 billion parameters, performs better than larger models like Phi-3-mini, Mistral-7B, and Gemma-7B. The server model also compares favorably to DBRX-Instruct, Mixtral-8x22B, and GPT-3.5-Turbo while being highly efficient 📈 

The model was released alongside the family of DCLM models, and are available on Hugging Face.

OpenAI’s intelligent approach to verify it’s content 🤖 

OpenAI recently introduced a fascinating approach to enhance the clarity and verifiability of AI-generated text.

They employ a technique called “Prover-Verifier Games,” where two AI models engage in a game: a “prover” generates a solution, and a “verifier” checks its correctness ✅
