OpenAI’s backed new AI robot 🤖 

Figure, an OpenAI-backed robotics company, has recently revealed its latest humanoid robot, the Figure 02. This robot is the successor to the Figure 01 model introduced in 2023 🤖 

The Figure 02 is equipped with speakers and microphones, allowing it to engage in natural speech communication with humans at work. This integration uses OpenAI’s ChatGPT technology.

In a teaser video, the Figure 02 showcases its slow, bent-leg gait as it moves across the floor. This design allows it to operate effectively in environments alongside human co-workers.

This partnership between Figure and OpenAI is definitely proving to be a big one for AI 🤖

Google’s new ping-pong AI robot 🏓🤖 

Google’s AI-powered table tennis robot, developed by DeepMind, has become pretty viral. In a series of 29 matches against human players of varying skill levels, the robot achieved a 45% win rate overall 😳 

• The robot won 100% of its matches against beginners.

• It secured a 55% win rate against intermediate players.

• Unfortunately, it lost to all advanced opponents.

Unlike strategic games like Go or Chess, table tennis requires rapid movement, instantaneous decision-making, and bold execution — I think this does pretty well in all those departments ✅ 

Apple to charge for AI? 🍎 

Analysts have suggested that Apple may introduce a subscription fee for certain advanced Apple Intelligence features 🤷 

Apple could charge between $10 and $20 per month for these premium AI capabilities.

However, please note that this is speculation, and Apple has not officially confirmed any pricing details 💲 

Google’s new AI note-taking 🗒️✍️ 

Google Meet has introduced a new AI-powered feature called “Take notes for me.” 🗒️ 

This feature automatically captures meeting notes during your Google Meet sessions, allowing you to focus on the discussion rather than taking manual notes.

It’s part of the Google Gemini suite of AI tools and will be available to users with licenses for the Gemini Enterprise add-on, Gemini Education Premium add-on, AI Meetings, and Messaging Add-on ✅

Google now lets you try the Gemini 1.5 Pro ‘Experimental’ model for free!

It was launched recently and outperformed GPT-4 and Claude 3.5 Sonnet in the LMSYS Chatbot Arena.

Here's a step by step 👇️ 

1. Simply head to Google AI Studio and log in with your Google account ✅ 

2. In the top-right corner, select "Gemini 1.5 Flash" from the "Models" dropdown menu.

   

3. Use the "Run settings" panel on the right to customize the AI's behaviour (adjust temperature, token count, etc.) ⚙️ 

4. Type your prompt in the main text area and click "Run" to generate content with Gemini 1.5 Pro ✅
