In a recent interview, Sam Altman discussed OpenAI’s new model, o1 and compared the current state of o1 to the early stages of GPT-2, saying that while o1 is still in its infancy, it has significant potential for growth and improvement 📈 

He said that o1 is improving day-by-day, which means in a few months, it will be able to solve problems it can't solve today.

He also stated that the new o1 model could open new opportunities for AI, particularly in complex reasoning tasks ✅

Lionsgate has announced a partnership with Runway to integrate generative AI technology into their film and TV production processes 📽️ 

This collaboration aims to create new AI models trained on Lionsgate’s extensive film and TV archive, which will assist in various stages of production, including storyboarding and post-production.

Lionsgate’s Vice Chair, Michael Burns, said that AI will be used to enhance their current operations, making content creation more efficient ✅ 

Snapchat’s new AI glasses (+ more) 🕶️ 

Snap recently made some exciting announcements at their Snap Partner Summit. They introduced new AR/AI glasses and an AI video generator:

1. AR/AI Glasses: These new standalone AR glasses, called Spectacles, are designed for mixed reality. They feature hand tracking, auto-dimming lenses for outdoor use, and a built-in Snap OS that can run apps and connect with phones. These glasses are currently available to developers on a subscription basis ✅ 
   

2. AI Video Generator: Snap also revealed a new AI-powered tool that allows users to create short video clips based on text prompts. With this feature, they want to make video creation more accessible and creative for users 🤖

YouTube has introduced a suite of AI-powered creation tools, with one of the highlights being the integration of Google’s Veo, an AI video generation model, into YouTube Shorts. Here’s a quick rundown of what’s new:

• Veo Integration: Creators can generate AI-powered backgrounds and short video clips up to six seconds long.
  

• Dream Screen: This feature lets creators use text prompts to generate backgrounds for their videos.
  

• AI Dubbing Tool: Automatically generates dubbed versions of videos in multiple languages, including Spanish, Portuguese, French, and Italian 🌍️ 
  

• Community Hubs: Expanded to more channels, allowing for better interaction between creators and followers ✅ 
  

• Hype Points: A new feature to boost visibility for lesser-known creators.

Amazon’s new AI assistant for sellers 🤖🛍️ 

Amazon has recently introduced Project Amelia, an AI assistant designed to help sellers on its platform 🛍️ 

This new provides sellers insights into their business metrics, answering questions, and eventually helping to resolve issues that arise 🤔 

Project Amelia is currently available in beta for select U.S. sellers, with plans to expand to more countries and languages later this year. At launch, it can provide information such as sales data, customer traffic, and comparisons to previous periods. Sellers can ask questions like “How is my business doing?” and receive detailed summaries of their metrics ✅ 

In the future, Project Amelia will be able to help with more complex tasks, such as resolving inventory discrepancies and offering personalized guidance 🤖

Here’s a step-by-step 👇️ 

1. Head over to Gamma and sign up for a free account.
   

2. On your dashboard, click "Import file or URL" and pick "Import file or URL."
   

   

   
   

3. Now upload your research paper by choosing "Upload a file."
   

4. Once your upload is complete, simply click “Presentation” and then “Continue”.
