ChatGPT - but for music? 🎶 

Udio, an AI music generator - has recently made its debut, and it’s causing a stir in the music industry 🎵 

It is developed by former Google DeepMind researchers, and aims to make music creation accessible to everyone.

It allows users to generate music in any style using text prompts. It also has the capability to create songs in multiple languages 🌐 

The more you put into it—writing lyrics, exploring sound and genre combos—the better Udio performs ✅ 

Udio is currently in its free beta phase, allowing users to generate up to 1200 songs per month.

Rapper and producer will.i.am is among the backers of Udio, adding star power to its launch. Early reviews have been impressive, with some calling Udio the most realistic AI music creation tool they’ve ever tried 📈 

Meta’s efforts to reduce NVIDIA’s monopoly 🗣️ 

On April 10, 2024, Meta revealed the 2nd generation of its self-developed AI chip, known as the Meta Training and Inference Accelerator (MTIA). Here are the details 👇️ 

1. The second-generation MTIA demonstrates substantial enhancements over MTIA v1.

2. It has already been deployed in Meta’s data centers, powering critical AI workloads, including ranking and recommendation models.
   

3. The architecture of this chip focuses on achieving the right balance between compute, memory bandwidth, and memory capacity.

With this, Meta is definitely pushing to reduce its reliance on Nvidia GPUs while optimizing their own systems.

eBay’s new AI update 🛍️ 

eBay has introduced a new feature to its iOS mobile app: “Shop the Look.” 🛍️ 

This AI-powered section caters to fashion enthusiasts by suggesting a carousel of images and ideas based on the user’s shopping history ⏪️ 

The recommendations are personalized, and update as the customer continues to shop. The goal is to showcase how other fashion items can complement the user’s existing wardrobe ✅ 

OpenAI fires its 2 employees 👔❌ 

OpenAI has reportedly let go of its two researchers. According to a report by The Information, the two researchers—Leopold Aschenbrenner and Pavel Izmailov—were asked to leave following an undisclosed internal investigation 🔍️ 

The specific details of the alleged leaks have not been disclosed. Even though 2024 has seen a relative calm in OpenAI's internal conflicts, these sackings suggest there's still more to come 😶

How to edit parts of your image using ChatGPT 🪄🤖 

In a recent update, DALL-E now lets you edit portions of your AI image 🖼️ 

This feature is very useful when you want to tweak few parts of the image, without changing the anything else.

Here’s a step-by-step 👇️ 

1. Simply head to ChatGPT and choose the DALL-E GPT (you’ll need a ChatGPT Plus or Enterprise subscription for this ✅)

2. Now ask ChatGPT to create an image for you.

3. Now, just select the image by clicking on it.
   
   At the top-right corner, select the “Edit” button ✅ 
   

   

4. Now, just select the area you want to explicitly edit.
   
   And prompt ChatGPT to make modifications accordingly in the conversation panel.
