TikTok’s answer to OpenAI

ByteDance - the parent company of Tiktok, has just announced a new AI project called Loopy 📽️ 

This technology can create realistic portrait avatars that move in sync with audio input- along with a variety of motions from audio alone, including non-verbal actions, emotion-driven eyebrow and eye movements, and natural head movements 🤯 

This makes the creation of lifelike avatars as easy as possible without the need for manually specified spatial motion templates. Definitely a time-saver for animators and designers! ✅

OpenAI partnering up with ex-Apple designer 👀 

Jony Ive, the renowned former Apple design chief who designed the first iPhone, has confirmed that he is collaborating with OpenAI on a new AI-powered hardware device 🤖 

This project is being developed in partnership with OpenAI’s CEO, Sam Altman, and aims to create a computing experience that is less socially disruptive than current smartphones 📱 

The exact details of the device are still under wraps, but it is expected to use AI to understand of complex requests. The project has already secured some private funding and is in the early stages of development 📈 

Qualcomm may be trying to buy Intel 💰️ 

There have been reports that Qualcomm is interested in acquiring Intel ✅ 

According to multiple sources, Qualcomm has approached Intel about a potential takeover, although no official offer has been made yet.

Intel currently has a market capitalization of around $90 billion, while Qualcomm’s is around $190 billion. Both companies have been overshadowed recently by Nvidia as the AI boom drives demand for chips.

If this takeover happens, will the merger company surpass Nvidia? 🤔 

Amazon’s new AI video generator 

Amazon has recently launched an AI-powered video generator specifically for advertisers 📈 

At its Accelerate conference, Amazon unveiled Video Generator, which allows advertisers to create custom video ads using a single product image. The generated videos are designed to showcase a product’s features and are currently available in beta for select U.S. advertisers.

The videos are short, typically 6-9 seconds long, and include customizable elements like background music, headlines, and brand logos ✅
